Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) Observes “World No Tobacco Day 2025” with Nationwide Programs

As in previous years, the Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) marked World No Tobacco Day on 31st May this year by organizing various awareness programs.

At the central office event, Dr. Prakashraj Neupane, a senior cancer surgeon and central committee member of NCRS, delivered an interactive PowerPoint presentation for students at Shri Bhanubhakta Memorial Higher School, Panipokhari, Kathmandu. The program was attended by NCRS Central Chairman Mr. Mahesh Shrestha, Treasurer Mr. Dinesh Shankar Palikhey, Central Committee Member Mr. Madhusudan Ghimire, and Administration Chief Mrs. Sajana Tamang Kunwar.

Across the country, NCRS’s 48 branches organized public awareness campaigns, including: Awareness rallies, Speech competitions, Interactive discussions, Quiz contests, Candle-lighting ceremonies and other related activities.
