Cancer Screening For Prevention And Early Detection

Cancer screening is looking for cancer before a person has any symptoms.Screening tests can help find cancer at an early stage,before symptoms appear.When abnormal tissue or cancer is found early,it may be easier to treat or cure.Nepal Cancer Relief Society mainly focus on prevention activities in order to early detection of the cases.As a part of prevention activities(i.e,Screening) we have the following activities;

     1. Direct Aid Program-DAP project

       DAP is an Australian Embassy project related to Lifestyle modification and Early Detection of                 Cancer. Under this project, we conduct screening camps targeting the different forms of cancer in         various district of Nepal. Basically, the district were chosen based on the rural setting,                         geographical constraints etc.

    2. Association with other Organization

        Beside that, we are continuously doing screening camp in near by Kathmandu valley(Kathmandu,          Bhaktapur, Lalitpur) areas in association with others organization.

    3. Awareness Program

        For the purpose of primordial and primary level of prevention we are providing awareness classes          during the screening camps.
