NCRS SOUVENIR 2081

The Nepal Cancer Relief Society (NCRS) celebrated its 42nd anniversary on Bhadra 31, 2081 (Nepali calendar). A special ceremony was organized at the Nepal Pragya Pratisthan in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, where the Honorable Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, Mr. Deepak Khadka, inaugurated the event by lighting a traditional oil lamp (panas).

On the occasion of its anniversary, NCRS has been publishing a commemorative journal annually. This year's publication features articles written by nine medical experts specializing in various fields of cancer treatment, interviews with five individuals, articles contributed by journalists covering health-related issues, research findings, and writings by long-time cancer awareness advocates. Additionally, the journal includes reports on the activities and future plans of the NCRS central office, as well as the annual activities of its district branches.

The publication committee for the 42nd-anniversary edition was chaired by General Secretary Mr. Dipendra Bantawa, with Vice President Mr. Krishna Bahadur Basnet and Joint Secretary Mr. Prakash Khatiwada as members. The editorial responsibility was undertaken by Mrs. Sajana Tamang Kunwar.
