World No Tobacco Day 31st of May, 2017
May 31 2017Nepal Cancer Relief Society has been celebrating this day since, last 34 years and even this year NCRS astonishingly celebrated World No Tobacco Day with the theme for this year which is "Tobacco- A Threat to Development". This day was not just one day celebration rather NCRS organized school level competition 3 days prior to that which included Oratory Competition, Poem Competition, Painting Competition and Quiz Competition. On the actual day of World No Tobacco Day, we organized rally and prize distribution ceremony to the winners from the competition. The message of Tobacco being a threat to development was displayed creatively by all the students present there.
On the day of rally, Health Minister, Mr. Gagan Thapa; Minister of State for Health, Mr. Taraman Gurung and Dr. Jos Vandelaer, World Health Organization Representative to Nepal showed their valuable presence and thoughtful words.
